Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly in Boston has successfully developed a new intergenerational program

The concept is simple: every Thursday, young students meet with their elders living in “seniors building” (residential buildings for person over 55 years old).
The elderly enjoy a lot the proposed activities mixing art, games and conversations that allow them to interact with each other. Some students are learning Mandarin or Russian and are happy to be able to practice with older people who are native speakers. These exchanges are meaningful for the elders as well as the students.

The chapter of Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly in Boston aims to grow in order to extend this intergenerational program to more locations across the city.
