An international seminar on new forms of engagement was held in Lille from 23 to 26 May 2019

The seminar, which was themed “Volunteering and the civic engagement of tomorrow”, brought together 53 volunteers and employees from 9 member countries of the International Federation (Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Spain, the United States), as well as 2 partner countries (Belgium and Hungary).

Workshops, round tables and debates provided an opportunity for very enriching exchanges on topics related to new forms of engagement, in particular new technologies in the service of volunteering, how to adaptat to these new forms of engagement and to the different profiles of volunteers…

This seminar also created an opportunity to meet other associations, such as the Red Cross, the Engagement Simone, TA1AMI, and also, of course, the Regional Fraternity of the Petits Frères des Pauvres.

Finally, our participation in the “committed walk” organized in collaboration with the APF France handicap, the Red Cross and the Petits Frères des Pauvres des Hauts-de-France, closed this seminar in a cultural and entertaining way.

Everyone left with many new ideas, thanks to the numerous and fruitful sharings of experiences.
